CBD Oil: De-Stress and Breathe in the Calm

One evening last summer I just kinda freaked out. My middle daughter had come over for a visit, and she’d brought with her a lot of toxic ‘garbage’ and proceeded to dump it out all over me.  After all, I’m her mom, right?  But I felt overwhelmed. My mind filled with worry about her living situation, her new boyfriend, and the fact that she was still having bad days with her leukemia in remission.

That’s when a friend suggested trying CBD oil.  I was both skeptical and hopeful: skeptical because, as a holistic heathcare practitioner, I am very careful what I use or ingest…and hopeful because I knew all these oils were plant-based and therefore all natural.

Using CBD oil made a definite impact on my stress. It helped me handle those anxious moments we moms tend to have whenever our kids – even when they’re grown – are going through tough times.

I used a synergistic blend called ‘soothe’ and within moments could finally relax and think clearly.

Many people in the U.S. struggle with anxiety, and although I’ve never experienced too many times of anxious thoughts, I was happy I’d found a natural way to cope – because coping is key. CBD oil – if the right strain and/or synergistic blend of strains are used – can very well be the answer for offering a path to peace.

What is CBD Oil and How Does It Work?

I find it fascinating to explore the world of CBD oil, which comes from the cannabis sativa plant. Unlike marijuana, CBD oil doesn’t make you feel “high”. TThat’s an important distinction. It’s also important to know about CBD’s origins and how it can help keep us healthy and looking on ‘the bright side’ without the buzzed effects of THC.

Understanding CBD and its Origins

Cannabidiol, or CBD, was re-discovered in 1992. It’s always been around, but – like the cannabis plant itself – had lost its place as a holistic medicinal option.  CBD has a special molecule called anandamide, which is a relaxant. This science-backed discovery has helped thousands to understand how CBD works in our bodies.

CBD from hemp is legal everywhere because it has very little THC, making it a natural win-win for improving your state of mind when life unloads on us.

CBD helps people relax. Period. And since about 20% of everyone you see or know deal with some form of anxiety, it’s good to know CBD oil can help them feel better.

The Science Behind CBD and the Endocannabinoid System

The endocannabinoid system (ECS) – something we were all born with – is key to keeping our bodies balanced. CBD works with this innate system of ours to help us relax and feel more calm. Studies show that CBD can also help make serotonin, a chemical messanger and neurotransmiter – do its job in the body.

Did you know that serotonin is involved in regulating your mood? Low levels of serotonin are believed to contribute to depression, a major illness across all generations. It also influences learning and memory, regulates sleep, helps build new bone tissue and maintain existing bones, and is in your platelets (a part of your blood) that helps heal wounds.  Serotonin even helps with blood clotting, regulating body temperature, sexual drive, and hunger.

A lot more than you thought, right?  And the fact that CBD oils can enhance your serotonin production in your brain is, well, a no-brainer!

Using CBD oils can certainly make a difference for most people, but lifestyle changes can make it even more effective. It can help reduce symptoms of social anxiety and other stress-related issues, making CBD a safe choice for those looking for mental wellness options.

Benefits of CBD Oil for De-Stress and Calmness

Benefits of CBD oil for reducing anxiety

More and more people are looking into CBD oil for mental health. They want to lower their anxiety and feel calmer. Research shows that CBD can help by affecting mood-regulating receptors in the brain, as previously mentioned.  All this from a plant!

How CBD Oil Helps Reduce Anxiety and Panic

Over 60% of CBD users take it to ease anxiety; because it affects serotonin levels in the brain, which can greatly reduce anxiety and chill out a panic attack. A recent study of 57 men found that those who took 300 mg of CBD felt less anxious than those in a placebo group.

Neuro Benefits of CBD Oils for Mental Wellness

CBD oil does more than just help with anxiety and stress. It has neuro benefits that improve overall mental wellness. Studies suggest it can enhance brain function and help with chronic stress and depression symptoms.

These effects lead to a sense of calmness, boosting emotional health and resilience. As CBD’s popularity grows, it’s become a promising option in the wellness market.

CBD Oil: De-Stress and Breathe in Calm, Achieving a State of No Anxiety, No Panic

Adding CBD oil to my wellness routine – whenever I need it, that is, has allowed me to breathe in the calm in exchange for those buzy thoughts that can make my old head hurt! I’ve found alternative ways to stay calm and avoid those rare bouts of anxiety, and one of those things is CBD oil.

Incorporating CBD Oil into Your Daily Routine

There are many ways to use CBD oil.  Some people need to use it every day; others – like myself – only when absolutely necessary. I’ve found I like using oil tinctures or gummies, best. And when I need quick relief, sublingual sprays work fast, helping me to chill out quickly.

Topicals are also ideal for intractible pain: applying CBD-infused balms or lotions can help you unwind and your muscles loosen and relax. Light exercises like walking or yoga also help, making me feel better and breathe easier.

Creating routines around CBD oil makes it more effective. I think about what I need and adjust my CBD use. This routine gives me control and stability, helping me to stay calm….I get a little piece of peace!

CBD Oil Strains: Which One is Right for You?

CBD oil strains

Exploring CBD oil strains is key to finding what works best for you. Each strain offers unique benefits, especially for anxiety and stress. Knowing about the different strains helps make better choices.

Popular CBD Strains and Their Benefits

Popular strains like Harlequin, Pineapple Express, and Blue Dream are ones known for anxiety relief. Harlequin has lots of CBD for calmness (without the high, of course). Pineapple Express is great for social times with its uplifting and stress-reducing effects, and Blue Dream balances anxiety relief while allowing you to stay focused.

Ice Cream Cake is soothing synergistic blend, perfect for evenings, and Northern Lights helps with stress by inducing relaxation.

Knowing these kinds of details will help you choose the right strain for YOU.

Choosing the Right CBD Product for Your Needs

Choosing a CBD product involves considering how you’ll use it and its formulation. I have  researched several formulations, such as oils, capsules, gummies, and topicals. Each has its own benefits. For quick effects, some people choose vaping , while edibles offer a lot of folks longer relief.

Quality is crucial. Third-party tested products are both safe and effective. Look for strains with the right mix of cannabinoids and terpenes and talk to a health expert to ensure you choose the best product for your goals, always focusing on CBD and low THC.

Integrating CBD Oil with Meditation for Enhanced Relaxation

As a holistic health care practitioner, I explore lots of ways to wellness, and I’ve found that CBD and meditation are a great combo for overall relaxation. Over 70% of people are said to use meditation. Adding CBD oil – in whatever form you’ve chosen to use – before settling down to meditate or pray helps calm the mind while preserving your mental clarity.

Scientific stiudies back this up (see the references at the end of this post).

CBD oils can calm anxiety , balance mood, ease depression, and help during stressful situations. I personally have seen the best results by using CBD Water Soluble Tinctures, gummies, or sublingual oils for quick results.

To mix CBD oil with meditation, choose a quiet time and place. Techniques like 4-7-8 breathing calms anxiety and allows these plant oils to do their job quickly and efficiently. This approach has shown improvement in many people’s mental health and wellness, helping them face life’s challenges.
